Our first dog, Seymour, died Friday of advanced cancer. He was diagnosed with an aggressive hemeangiosarcoma arising from his spleen, which was removed over 2 months ago. He spent the last few months of his life comfortably with his family and waited to meet baby Aaliyah before dying in my arms one week after her birth. He will be sorely missed by all of us, most especially by Hero who has never spent a day of the past six years without him.
